BACKGROUND The law firm was started in 2005 and is a solo practice law firm. For most of Clay's legal
career, he was a corporate in-house attorney for Motorola, Inc., and Discovision Associates, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Pioneer Electronics with its headquarters located in Tokyo, Japan. Clay has learned valuable insight into
how to protect intellectual property that could generate significant licensing royalties and revenue. He provided
legal counsel on a variety of numerous legal issues and advanced business strategies for acquiring high-technology companies
or their intellectual property assets. He also negotiated and drafted many complex agreements and supervised extensive
due diligence investigations on many different areas of technology.

EDUCATION Clay received his Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri,
which is currently ranked as a top 20 law school in the nation. He was an Associate Editor of the Washington
University Law Quarterly and a recipient of the Golden Quill Award. Clay received a Bachelor of Science in Computer
Engineering from Wright State University, which is located in Dayton, Ohio.
